On our way to deliver our artwork to the Arizona Biennial in Tucson we started to see dark clouds on the horizon. It doesn’t rain much in Arizona but it was the beginning of monsoon season. With a seven foot tall wood sculpture and thirty linear feet of framed paper drawing in the back of our truck we began to get nervous. We stopped at a gas station trapped up the truck Just in time. Sarah, Rossi, the munchkin, and I waited out the storm at a truck stop Baskin Robbins, talking to some pretty crazy characters.
